Orlando Pirates name starting XI for Betway Premiership clash with Sekhukhune United

Orlando Pirates return to Betway Premiership action on Tuesday evening when they host Sekhukhune United at Orlando Amstel Arena, with the Buccaneers naming their starting XI for the league meeting.

Pirates are currently top of the standings after beating Chippa United in their most recent league fixture. They have made a positive start to the campaign and will be looking to maintain that momentum against a Sekhukhune side that has also impressed in the opening stages of the season.

The match is the second of three scheduled meetings between the clubs. Pirates claimed a 1-0 victory over Sekhukhune in the first leg of their MTN8 semi-final on Saturday in Polokwane.

Sekhukhune have taken seven points from their first three league matches, recording two wins and one defeat. They sit fifth in the table, just one point behind league leaders Pirates, following a strong beginning to the campaign since the arrival of Cedric Kaze.

Babina Noko’s most recent league match ended in victory against their city rivals Polokwane City, a result which kept them in the top half of the standings.

However, the recent league record between the teams at Orlando Amstel Arena provides Sekhukhune with encouragement. Pirates have lost their last two league meetings with Babina Noko on home soil and collected only four points from those fixtures last season, despite going on to win the title.
