Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs set to battle for South African talent Neo Rapoo

Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs have expressed interest in securing the services of South African talent Neo Rapoo this summer.

The 19-year-old left-back has attracted significant interest following an outstanding performance at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations.

Neo Rapoo currently plies his trade for SuperSport United and was a key figure for South Africa’s U20 squad at the Africa Cup of Nations. He featured in every match of the tournament, helping his team clinch the title in Egypt.

With Orlando Pirates expressing initial interest in the defender, Kaizer Chiefs are said to have also join the race for the talented left-back.

Both clubs are seriously considering strengthening their squads with Neo Rapoo, seeing him as a future left-back for South Africa’s national team.

Rapoo himself is ready to continue his career in the domestic league, aiming to take a professional step forward, despite his ambition to play in Europe.

The defender been in the ranks of SuperSport United since 2022, but could depart the club this summer.
