South African clubs Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are set to engage in a fierce battle for the services of Angola international Laurindo Dilson Aurélio “Depu’.
The 25-year-old attacker spent the recently concluded campaign on loan at Serbian club, Vojvodina, delivering just an assist in 17 appearances in the league.
With his loan spell expiring at the end of June, the Angola star is expected to return to his parent Gil Vicente in Portugal.
Depu has attracted significant interest following an impressive performance at the just ended COSAFA Cup tournament, where Angola emerged as champions.
With a move for Fiston Mayele looking impossible, Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs have shifted their attention to Gil Vicente’s forward Depu.
Currently playing in the European country, securing his services will be a complex task. Meanwhile, the forward has also attracted interest from Polish outfit Radomiak, who are also keen to snap up the attacker.
Depu recently impressed at the just ended COSAFA Cup, held in South Africa with the Palancas Negras triumphing over the Bafana Bafana to lift the trophy for the second consecutive time.
The talented attacker emerged as the topscorer at the tournament, racking up eight goals in five appearances.
