Omar Marmoush, the electrifying Egyptian attacker, has cemented his place in Manchester City folklore by clinching his second award since joining the Premier League giants.
The 26-year-old, who swapped Eintracht Frankfurt for the Etihad last winter, continues to dazzle fans with his flair and firepower. On 23 January 2025, Manchester City announced Marmoush’s arrival on a four-and-a-half-year deal for a reported £59 million. Just two days later, he marked his debut with a bang in a 3-1 home league triumph over Chelsea.
According to Manchester City’s official X account, Marmoush’s latest honor comes for the best goal of March—a rocket of a strike from outside the penalty area against Brighton in a thrilling 2-2 Premier League draw.
The goal outshone strong contenders, including Nico O’Reilly’s second against Plymouth, Tottenham reserve Auba Fogeno’s effort, and Khadija Bany-Shaw’s stunner against Aston Villa in the Women’s Super League.
Having already bagged February’s goal of the month award against Newcastle, Marmoush’s back-to-back wins signal his growing influence at City.
