Omar Marmoush set for Tottenham medical after Spurs reach agreement with Manchester City
Tottenham have reached a verbal agreement with Manchester City to sign Egypt forward Omar Marmoush, with the proposed deal initially structured as a loan that could include a compulsory purchase clause if certain conditions are met.
The potential permanent transfer fee has been set at €58m, according to Fabrizio Romano. The arrangement would allow Tottenham to bring Marmoush to north London immediately while delaying the final transfer until the end of his loan spell, provided the agreed conditions are fulfilled.
Marmoush has already given his approval to the move, having agreed to join Tottenham several days ago. The next stage of the transfer is now scheduled, with the 27-year-old expected to travel on Monday before undergoing a medical.
That examination must be completed before the deal can be formally concluded. If the final details are settled as expected, Marmoush will become Tottenham’s latest attacking addition.
The Egypt international remains under contract with Manchester City until the summer of 2029. His current estimated market value is €50m, according to Transfermarkt, meaning the potential €58m purchase fee would be above that assessment.
Marmoush earns an annual salary of €17,183,908, equivalent to 11,169,540,200 FCFA.
The forward’s proposed move comes as Tottenham look to strengthen their attacking options. The loan-with-purchase structure would give the club the opportunity to secure Marmoush’s services while making the permanent transfer at a later stage.
Manchester City are due to play their second match of the English league season against Crystal Palace shortly. Betting company 1xbet has listed Manchester City as favourites for that fixture, with a price of 1.57 for a City victory. A draw is priced at 4.00, while Crystal Palace are listed at 4.90 to win.
Marmoush’s transfer remains subject to the medical and the completion of the final contractual details. His planned journey on Monday is expected to mark the next significant step towards his arrival at Tottenham.
