Zamalek has secured the future of one of its key players, as Omar Jaber has officially signed a new two-year contract with the club.
The deal will keep him at the White Knights until the end of the 2026-2027 season.
The club’s board, led by Hussein Labib, confirmed the contract extension on Friday, emphasizing that it aligns with their strategy to retain top talent within the squad.
Jaber’s journey with Zamalek has been one of commitment and success. He initially departed in 2016 for Swiss side Basel after featuring in 158 matches, scoring 13 goals, and assisting 15 times. His return in the summer of 2022 from Pyramids saw him add to his legacy, helping the club secure the CAF Confederation Cup and the African Super Cup.
Since his comeback, the 33-year-old has played 94 games, scoring once and providing 14 assists.
Zamalek now turns its attention to a crucial Egypt Cup quarter-final clash against Smouha, set for Saturday at Cairo International Stadium.
