Omar Gaber believes Zamalek are a new team under head coach Ayman El-Ramady.
The experienced right-back shared his thoughts ahead of Thursday’s Egyptian Cup final clash against Pyramids at the Cairo International Stadium.
The 32-year-old defender spoke with calm confidence during the pre-match press conference, highlighting the impact of El-Ramady’s arrival on the team’s performance and mindset.
“The upcoming match against Pyramids in the final of the Egyptian Cup is very important, and we are looking forward to winning the cup because it is a very important championship at the end of the season, and we were hoping to win more tournaments than that.”
“There is an improvement in performance with the successive games under Al-Ramady, and we thank him because he taught us things in football that Zamalek was far from it in the last period.”
“There is a strong focus from the players to win in order to make the fans happy, and we know that the current season was not our best, and we have a chance at the end of the season to make the fans happy.”
“We talk to each other as players to achieve the championship, and we know that Pyramids is a respected rival with a good group of players and we respect them very much, but Zamalek plays any final match in the presence of the audience in order to win the title, and we will fight to win the title.”
“During the holy month of Ramadan, we are used to playing matches after iftar, and we wish the date of the final was better, or the day was changed, but it is not in our hands.”
