Omar Fayed transfer: Fenerbahce defender linked with switch to Frosinone

Egyptian centre-back Omar Fayed is being linked with a move from Fenerbahce to Serie A club Frosinone.

The 23-year-old defender remains under contract with Fenerbahce until 30 June 2027, but his future has become a subject of transfer speculation after returning to the Turkish club from a loan spell at Arouca.

Fayed spent the 2025-26 season on loan in Portugal before rejoining Fenerbahce at the end of June. He has yet to feature for his parent club this season, with the defender recording no appearances in Fenerbahce’s four possible Champions League qualifying matches.

The proposed move would give Frosinone the opportunity to add a player who has spent much of his time since joining Fenerbahce gaining experience away from the club. Fayed signed from Egyptian side El Mokawloon in August 2023 for a reported €551,000.

He subsequently had loan spells with Serbian club Novi Pazar, Belgian side Beerschot VA and Arouca. His latest return to Istanbul came after the Portuguese loan ended, leaving him with a contract at Fenerbahce while interest from Italy continues.

Fayed was born in Monufia and represents Egypt internationally. No transfer fee or agreement has been reported, and the move remains at the rumour stage.
