Olympique de Marseille is sad to have lost an important player like André Ayew, absent for eight weeks due to injury. But the Marseille club will still console itself with the sum that this injury could bring it.
Indeed, the Ghanaian was injured during his selection’s match against Egypt counting for the World Cup play-offs. A competition organized by Fifa and which obliges the latter to compensate the training of the player concerned according to the rule which stipulates that a club is compensated up to 20,000 euros per day of absence from the 29th day of unavailability.
If the calculations are done correctly, Marseille will be able to pocket between 500,000 and 600,000 euros. Nice sum!
