André-Pierre Gignac is committed to achieving peak fitness and openly acknowledges that he struggled with a few extra pounds in the past.
Expressing his disdain for his own chubby puppet on Les Guignols, the 27-year-old Gignac now takes a more careful approach to his diet. In his own words, “Four or five years ago, after matches, I would grab a kebab or a McDonald’s when I arrived at the airport. I’ve learned to be mindful, to measure. If I eat 150 grams of pasta, my body will retain 150 grams, not 149. I leave nothing. That’s just how I am.”
Injecting humor into the conversation, he adds, “Honestly, it’s good. I enjoy nuggets, not Big Macs (…) Now I hope that McDonald’s will call me to offer me an advertising contract.”
Despite his dedication to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, Gignac doesn’t lose his sense of humor along the way.
