Marseille set €12m price tag on Morocco star Azzedine Ounahi amid multiple Saudi interest

Ounahi OM

Morocco international Azzedine Ounahi has emerged as one of the most sought after players heading into the summer transfer window following his impressive performance.

Ounahi is enjoying an amazing season with Panathinaikos in Greece, scoring three goals and delivering seven assists in 33 appearances across competitions.

The 24-year-old joined the Greek outfit last summer on a season-long loan from Marseille after failing to impress at the club.

The talented midfielder departed Angers to join Marseille following a breakout at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where Morocco defied odds to reach the semifinals of the biggest soccer mundial.

However, Ounahi failed to replicate the top class performance for Marseille, leading to his departure last summer to Panathinaikos.

His impressive performance in Greece has caught the attention of several clubs, who are keen to secure his services in the summer. Ounahi has been linked with a move to Middle East, with several Saudi Professional League outfit expressing interest in the diminutive midfielder.

And according to reports, Marseille have set a €12m price tag on the midfielder, who is under contract with the club until 2027.
