The management of Olympic Safi Football Club has reached out to national coach Amine Kerma to lead the team in the upcoming period, following the departure of coach Zakaria Aboub, who decided to leave the club for health reasons, according to his statement.
According to a reliable source, Olympic Safi has been in contact with Kerma, the former coach of Renaissance Berkane, offering him the helm of “The Shark of Safi” starting from the next football season.
The same source explained that negotiations between the two parties are underway to finalize the contract details, with only the management’s response to some of the demands raised by Kerma remaining for the deal to be sealed.
Kerma has demonstrated his coaching prowess by leading Renaissance Berkane to victory in the previous edition of the Moroccan Throne Cup.
He also left the “Orange Team” topping its group in the CAF Confederation Cup and achieved positive results in the team’s academy.
However, Kerma will not be able to lead Olympic Safi this season, as Moroccan league regulations prohibit coaches from managing two teams in the top tier during a single football season.
It’s worth noting that Adel Seraj, the assistant coach to former coach Zakaria Aboub, is currently leading the “Abdi” team temporarily.
