Olympiakos consider January move for Nice midfielder Hicham Boudaoui

Hicham Boudaoui’s future at Nice is increasingly uncertain, with the French club understood to be willing to consider selling the Algeria international during the winter transfer window.

Nice’s priority would be to raise funds from the midfielder’s departure and are seeking a fee of about 5 million euros. However, that valuation could discourage potential buyers because of Boudaoui’s contract situation.

The 26-year-old will be out of contract six months later, meaning he would be free to join another club without a transfer fee in the summer. That prospect may lead interested sides to question whether it is worth paying a significant amount to sign him in January.

Despite those financial considerations, Boudaoui remains an attractive option in the European market. Olympiakos have emerged as the first club to show concrete interest in signing him during the next winter window.
