Ollie Watkins has eclipsed Mohamed Salah in the race for the English Premier League’s golden boot, after netting twice against Luton Town in Aston Villa’s 3-2 victory in the 27th round of fixtures.
Watkins, continuing his impressive form with Aston Villa, has now scored 21 goals and provided 12 assists in all official competitions this season.
The English striker has climbed to second place in the Premier League’s top scorers chart, trailing Erling Haaland of Manchester City by just one goal and leading Salah by a solitary strike.
