Arnold Mvuemba Committed to Olympique Lyonnais Amid Transfer Speculation
Arnold Mvuemba has firmly put to rest any talk of leaving Olympique Lyonnais, despite his limited appearances this season. Although the midfielder has started just nine times in Ligue 1, he has been a regular feature in coach Rémi Garde’s starting lineup, making six consecutive appearances, including in last Saturday’s Coupe de la Ligue final against PSG.
Ahead of Wednesday’s match in Toulouse, Mvuemba reflected on a season full of uncertainty, where rumors of a potential winter transfer loomed large. However, the 31-year-old has made it clear that he remains fully committed to OL, stating, “I’ve always been at the team’s disposal and I will continue to be. I’ve always had confidence, it’s never gone away. When you get back up, you inevitably come out stronger. There are difficult moments in a season. It’s either you give up and cry in your corner, or you fight.”
Mvuemba’s words signal his intent to remain with Olympique Lyonnais, dispelling any doubts about a move in the upcoming transfer window. With his current contract running until 2016, there is little urgency for negotiations, and Mvuemba has made it clear that his focus is on continuing to fight for his place in the team. For now, the midfielder has chosen to stay and battle for success with OL, leaving little room for speculation about his future.
