Okwawu United’s General Manager, Nana Kwame Dankwah, has rejected allegations that the bus provided by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is in poor condition.
The GFA recently distributed buses to nine Division One League clubs, including Okwawu United, as part of an initiative promised by its President, Kurt Okraku, during the 29th Ordinary Congress in Kumasi.
However, critics have raised concerns about the vehicles’ state.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Nana Dankwah dismissed the criticism, saying he personally assessed the bus and found the reports exaggerated.
I drove the bus myself, and while it’s not new, the interior is nowhere near as bad as portrayed in some social media pictures, he explained.
He expressed gratitude to the GFA, highlighting the significance of the donation for the club.
We at Okwawu United appreciate the GFA’s support.
This bus will significantly aid our operations,” he stated.
The donation has sparked a range of opinions, but for Okwawu United, the gesture represents a valuable contribution to their logistical needs.
