Ebrahima Sawaneh, commonly known as Ibou, is set to move to Asia as he joins Muaither SC, a Qatari club, on a season-long loan. Ibou, who is currently with OH Louvain (OHL) in the Belgian first division, has experienced a challenging start to the 2013-2014 season, making only three starts in eight league matches and playing one full match without scoring any goals.
While the transfer has been officially announced on OH Louvain’s website, the deal is not yet entirely finalized pending the completion of all necessary paperwork. Notably, there is no purchase option for the Qatari club at the end of the loan spell. Ibou had an impressive performance last season with OHL, scoring 19 goals and earning a nomination for the Soulier d’Ébène.
