French Ligue 1 side, OGC Nice have decided not to trigger the purchase option in the loan contract of Cameroonian forward Youssoufa Moukoko.
The youngster signed for the French Ligue 1 outfit last summer in a loan move with a purchase option from German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.
He was expected to play a key role for the team in France but has only enjoyed limited playing time.
In the 11 matches he has played for OGC Nice in the French Ligue 1, Youssoufa Moukoko has only scored twice and provided one assist.
With the club not impressed by his impact, Nice manager Franck Haise has indicated that it is unlikely the club will push for a permanent signing at the end of the loan deal.
“We know his situation. He’s on loan with a purchase option that the club will most likely not exercise,” the OGC Nince manager told Get French Football News in an interview.
It is now expected that Youssoufa Moukoko will return to Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season where he is under contract until summer 2026.
