OGC Nice has offered an update on the injury status of defender Youssouf Ndayishimiye, who has been sidelined due to injury in recent days.
The Burundian player, Youssouf Ndayishimiye, is currently nursing a thigh injury, which has kept him out of action since last week.
However, there is positive news emerging from the club regarding his recovery process. Despite the setback, the 25-year-old has already commenced his rehabilitation program and is making steady progress.
The club’s medical staff is optimistic about his return to the field, with expectations that he will be available for selection by the end of the week.
A statement released by OGC Nice revealed, “Youssouf is in the rehabilitation phase. Tomorrow we will try to evaluate it again to see if we can recover it.
The objective is to have him available at least for one of the two matches (of the week).”
Ndayishimiye’s absence from the squad has been felt, considering his pivotal role as a regular starter for OGC Nice.
Prior to his injury, he had featured prominently in 23 matches across all competitions, including three appearances in the Coupe de France, where he also managed to find the back of the net.
The club’s faithful will be eagerly awaiting his return to action, as his presence on the pitch brings stability and defensive solidity to the team.
As Ndayishimiye progresses through his rehabilitation program, all eyes will be on his recovery, with hopes that he will make a swift return to bolster OGC Nice’s defensive lineup.
