OGC Nice manager Franck Haise has opened up on the future of Ivory Coast international Evann Guessand as the summer transfer window approaches.
The 23-year-old has endured an amazing campaign with the French club, scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists in 42 appearances in the recently concluded campaign.
Guessand was pivotal when his outfit thrashed Brest 6-0 on Ligue 1 final day to book qualification to the UEFA Champions League next season.
He netted the opener for Nice and set up Gaëtan Laborde for Nice’s second as the side made light work of Brest to secure Europe spot.
Asked about the future of the forward, the manager said, “We know that Evann will be one of the players who is highly sought after. What matters is what he has done this season,”
“Like other French clubs, we have to sell to buy this summer.” He concluded.
It is important to note that no player has a higher market value than Guessand at Nice. Meanwhile, his current contract with Nice is expected to expire in the summer of 2028.
