As announced yesterday, it is now official: Dominique da Silva will soon join Zamalek. The Mauritanian international has signed with the Egyptian capital’s second major club without any transfer fee.
The news was initially revealed by Mido, the new Zamalek coach, on his Twitter account (photo), before being confirmed by the club’s official social media channels. Da Silva has been a free agent since the termination of his previous contract with Al Ahly. A product of the Nouakchott Football Academy, the Mourabitoune notably clinched the 2013 African Champions League title with the Red Devils. He also had a stint in Tunisia, representing CS Sfaxien.
Reportedly, his new contract with Zamalek will span three years.
