Ivorian defender Zie Diabaté has officially returned to Belgium by joining La Gantoise. The Dijon full-back, who was reported to be close to a return by Africa Top Sports, has been loaned to the Belgian Ligue 1 club with an option to buy until the end of the season. Diabaté, under contract with Dijon until June 30, 2015, had limited playing time in Ligue 2, prompting the move to La Gantoise. The 24-year-old Ivorian previously had experience in Belgian football during his loan spell with Standard de Liège in the 2012-2013 season. The move is expected to provide Diabaté with more opportunities on the field.
