Egyptian international Mohamed Salah has completed his move to Turkish club Trabzonspor ahead of the upcoming football campaign.

The experienced winger joins Trabzonspor on a two-year deal, keeping him at the club until summer 2028. Salah became a free agent at the end of last season after agreeing to part ways with Liverpool despite having a year left on his contract.

Salah’s arrival represents a major statement of intent from the Turkish club, who have secured the services of one of Africa’s most decorated and recognized footballers. The Egyptian attacker brings with him years of experience at the highest level, having competed in some of Europe’s biggest competitions.

The former Liverpool star is expected to play a key role in Trabzonspor’s attacking plans, providing leadership, creativity and a proven goal threat as the club aims to challenge for domestic honours.

The 33-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable career, establishing himself as one of the greatest African players of his generation. During his time in Europe, Salah became a global superstar through his performances in England and on the international stage.

He played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s success, winning the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup and several individual awards during his spell at Anfield. His goalscoring consistency made him one of the most feared attackers in world football.

At international level, Salah has been the face of Egyptian football for more than a decade, carrying the hopes of the Pharaohs and becoming one of the country’s all-time leading scorers.

Trabzonspor believe his experience and winning mentality can help elevate the team as they look to compete with Turkey’s biggest clubs. The club’s supporters are expected to welcome the arrival of a player whose reputation extends far beyond Turkish football.

With his contract secured until the summer of 2028, Salah now begins a new chapter of his career in Turkey, where he will aim to continue producing decisive performances and add more success to an already outstanding football journey.
