OFFICIAL: Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana joins Trabzonspor on loan

Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana has completed his move from Manchester United to Trabzonspor.

The Turkish Super Lig club announced the signing of the former Ajax shot-stopper on loan from the English giants on Thursday, September 11.

In a post on the club’s social media, Trabzonspor said, “An agreement has been with Manchester United regarding the free temporary transfer of professional footballer Andre Onana to our club for the 2025-2026 season.”

Onana, 29, joins Trabzonspor on a season-long loan after a difficult period at Manchester United.

Last season, he was under continuous criticism from fans of the Red Devils, largely due to several blunders committed in different matches.

Before the international break, Onana was subjected to more criticism when he underperformed in a Cup match against lower-division side Grimsby Town FC.

With Manchester United signing a new goalkeeper, Onana has now moved to Trabzonspor on loan, where he will hope to regain his confidence and rediscover his Inter Milan form.
