English club Nottingham Forest have reportedly agreed on a deal with Olympique Lyon to sign Belgium-born forward of Guinean descent Malick Fofana.
The 20-year-old is among the players expected to leave Lyon following the club’s relegation to Ligue 2.
As the French side looks to offload key assets, Fofana has emerged as a sought-after talent on the European market.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham Forest and Lyon have agreed on terms for the move. However, personal terms are yet to be finalised with the player himself.
Malick Fofana, who has impressed with his performances, is reportedly eyeing Champions League football next season.
His rising profile has also caught the attention of several elite clubs, including Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Napoli.
While Nottingham Forest remain the favourites to sign the talented winger, Bayern Munich could pull a surprise in the transfer race.
The German giants have missed out on signing Nico Williams and now want to secure the services of Fofana.
