Former Chelsea defender William Gallas has criticised the performance of German-Congolese attacker Christopher Nkunku this season.
He believes Christopher Nkunku’s performances for the Blues have not been good enough in the ongoing campaign.
“Christopher Nkunku’s performances this season have not been strong enough; he isn’t offering good enough competition in the squad,” William Gallas told Slingo in an interview.
Gallas continued, “Nkunku wants to feel that love and importance at the club, to be that number one. For me, it looks difficult for Nkunku to make an impact if he were to stay at Chelsea this summer.”
This season, Christopher Nkunku has had his moments but has not really made the expected impact.
He has played 42 games in all competitions but has only scored 14 goals.
He is currently linked with a move away from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, with reports suggesting that Bayern Munich are interested in his services.
