Reports linking Victor Osimhen to Manchester United have been dismissed as baseless, with no negotiations currently taking place between Napoli and the Premier League club, sources close to the situation have confirmed.
Speculation has been rife in recent weeks suggesting that Manchester United were closing in on a deal for Osimhen.
However, sources close to the Nigerian striker’s agent, Roberto Calenda, have denied any such discussions.
“There can be no agreement without discussion. These rumors are totally absurd. If there is any interest, it is limited to the media, but there has been no contact with Napoli or Osimhen. So there is not a shred of truth in these speculations,” a source told Africafoot.
Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been in exceptional form, scoring 20 goals and providing five assists in 26 appearances.
His performances have reignited interest from Europe’s top clubs, but for now, his future remains undecided.
