Amr Adham, a member of Zamalek Football Club’s board of directors, has unveiled new developments regarding the case of Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim “Kahraba,” the forward for Al Ahly football team, with the White Knights.
The International Court of Arbitration for Sport had imposed a fine of two million dollars on Kahraba, along with accrued interests, since his departure from Zamalek.
Speaking in a televised interview on ON Time Sports 2, Amr Adham stated, “Until now, we do not know the date of the verdict in Kahraba’s case.
Zamalek Club will be notified of the date in the coming period.”
He continued, “There has been talk in the past hours that Zamalek has suffered a severe blow because there are no hearing sessions in the International Court of Arbitration for Sport until May 21, which means that the case will be prolonged.”
“We received a response from the Court on January 31, 2024, and I believe that Kahraba and his lawyer received the same response.
We were informed that the case does not include hearing sessions, and the Court will suffice with the submissions provided by both parties,” he elaborated.
Adham further noted, “Kahraba’s lawyer proposed a settlement to Zamalek’s lawyer, but it was not satisfactory for us.”
The revelations by Amr Adham shed light on the ongoing legal battle between Zamalek and Kahraba, adding another layer of complexity to the already contentious issue.
As football fans await further developments, the outcome of this case could have far-reaching implications for both clubs involved.
