Ousmane Cissokho’s future remains uncertain as the transfer window nears its close. While FC Metz was initially rumored to be his likely destination, no formal offer has yet materialized for the Nîmes Olympique winger.
According to L’Équipe, two additional Ligue 1 clubs—Lorient and RC Lens—have shown serious interest in signing the Senegalese player. However, Lens faces a significant obstacle: a recruitment ban, which currently prevents them from completing any transfers.
That leaves Lorient as the more realistic option. Cissokho is said to be attracted by Lorient’s sporting project, which could give him a platform to establish himself in France’s top flight.
As the transfer window’s final hours approach, it remains to be seen whether Lorient will follow up their interest with a concrete offer.
