Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has praised Wilfred Ndidi following the Nigerian midfielder’s return from injury, describing his presence as a vital boost to the team.
Ndidi had been sidelined since December after sustaining a muscle injury during a Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove Albion.
He made his comeback in Leicester’s FA Cup fourth-round match against Manchester United last weekend, where he produced an impressive display before being substituted for Harry Winks after the hour mark.
Van Nistelrooy Praises Ndidi’s Leadership
Speaking about Ndidi’s performance, Van Nistelrooy highlighted the midfielder’s influence on and off the pitch.
“It all starts with the character of the person, which is excellent. Then there is the leadership and his presence in the box, as we saw at United,” Van Nistelrooy said.
The Dutchman emphasized that Ndidi’s return adds strength to Leicester’s midfield, bringing much-needed stability as the team continues its campaign.
Leicester Set to Face Arsenal
With Ndidi back in action, Leicester City will now turn their focus to their next Premier League fixture against Arsenal at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
His return provides a significant boost for the Foxes as they prepare to take on Mikel Arteta’s side.
