Nigeria Super Falcons winger, Francisca Ordega, has been awarded the Player of the Month accolade for March in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.
The exciting attacker who plays for Al-Ittihad Jeddah was confirmed winner of the award on Wednesday, April 16.
The league, through its official “X” platform account, revealed that the Al-Ittihad striker claimed the top spot in the public vote, securing 62% of the ballots.
She outpaced Congolese forward Naomi Kabakaba of Al-Ahly and fellow Nigerian Ashley Plumptre, also of Al-Ittihad, who both earned 19% each.
In the goalkeeper category, Ecuadorian shot-stopper Irene Tobar, representing Al-Amal, was voted the best for March. Tobar earned 65% of the vote, comfortably beating American Lindsay Harris of Al-Qadisiyah, who picked up 23%, and French goalkeeper Sarah Bouhadi of Al-Ula, who finished with 12%.
Meanwhile, Al-Qadisiyah’s Portuguese coach, Luis Felipe Andrade, has also been awarded Best Coach of the Month.
