The Nigeria U20 male national team, the Flying Eagles, will depart Abuja for Chile on Sunday as part of their build-up to the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The squad will hold a two-week training camp in Chile ahead of their Group D opener against Norway on Monday, September 29.

In their group, the Flying Eagles will also face Saudi Arabia and Colombia in the group stage.

Head coach Aliyu Zubairu is expected to announce his final 21-man squad on Friday, September 19. Officials confirmed that several Europe-based players will join the delegation en route to South America.

The Flying Eagles are determined to build on their performance at the 2023 edition in Argentina, where they reached the quarterfinals.

With a blend of homegrown stars and foreign-based professionals, the seven-time African champions are optimistic of making an even deeper run this time.
