Nigeria’s Flying Eagles arrive in Talca ahead of FIFA U20 World Cup opener

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have arrived in Talca, Chile, ahead of the 2025 FIFA U20 Men’s World Cup.

Nigeria will be competing in Group F alongside Norway, Saudi Arabia and Colombia.

Upon arrival, the team was warmly received by officials from FIFA, the Local Organising Committee, and hotel representatives before holding a light training session in the evening.

The squad is based at Hotel Diego de Almagro in Talca, having just completed a 12-day training camp in Santiago.

During their build-up, the Flying Eagles played two friendlies, drawing 1-1 with hosts Chile and defeating Australia 3-1 on Tuesday.

Nigeria begin their quest for glory on Monday, September 29, against Norway at the Estadio Fiscal de Talca, before subsequent group-stage fixtures against Saudi Arabia and Colombia.

The Flying Eagles are hoping to enjoy a good tournament, in hopes of going as far as possible.
