Nigerian teenager Gideon Effiong Ukpong makes ND Bilje switch in Slovenia

Nigeria centre-forward Gideon Effiong Ukpong has joined ND Bilje from NK Fuzinar on a free transfer, completing a move between two Slovenian clubs.

Ukpong, 19, arrives at ND Bilje as the club’s latest attacking addition and will continue his career in Slovenia’s Druga Liga. The teenager’s move was completed on 14 August 2026.

His departure brings his time with NK Fuzinar to an end. The Slovenian side is the only previous club listed for Ukpong, who now begins a new chapter with ND Bilje after switching clubs within the country.

Ukpong’s position is recorded as centre-forward, placing him in the central attacking role at his new club. His Nigerian nationality also adds an international dimension to ND Bilje’s squad as the club prepares for its Druga Liga campaign.

The transfer is a straightforward move without a reported fee, with Ukpong leaving NK Fuzinar and joining ND Bilje as a free agent. No contract length has been announced for the 19-year-old.

ND Bilje become the second Slovenian club of Ukpong’s senior career, following his spell with NK Fuzinar. The move keeps him in the Slovenian football system while giving him a new club in the country’s second-tier competition.

Ukpong has now completed his free transfer from NK Fuzinar to ND Bilje.
