Southampton have reportedly agreed a deal to sign 20-year-old Nigerian striker Victor Udoh from Belgian side Royal Antwerp.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news, revealing on social media platform X that the Premier League club had reached an agreement with Antwerp for Udoh’s transfer, with the deal now in its final stages.
“EXCL: Southampton have agreed a fee to sign Victor Udoh from Royal Antwerp, the deal is in advanced stages,” Romano tweeted.
Udoh, who has been in impressive form for Antwerp’s reserve team, has scored 12 goals in 27 appearances.
A versatile forward, he has proven his ability to make an impact across various attacking roles.
Valued at €600,000 by Transfermarkt, Udoh is poised to make his move to the English top flight.
Since joining Royal Antwerp in 2023 from Hypebuzz FC, Udoh has continued to develop his game in Belgium.
His arrival at Southampton would increase the number of Nigerian players at the club, joining compatriots Joe Aribo and Paul Onuachu in the Premier League side’s ranks.
