Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has shared his thoughts following his loan move to Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The 28-year-old forward joined Galatasaray from Italian club SSC Napoli after a proposed transfer to Chelsea fell through.
Since his arrival, Osimhen has made an immediate impact, scoring 12 goals in 15 appearances.
Discussing his seamless adaptation to the team, Osimhen credited his quick integration to the support from teammates and prior experience playing with some of them.
“I adapted very easily,” Osimhen told Radyospor. “I learned a lot from Barış, Yunus, and how other players play. I had already played with [Dries] Mertens before, which made the process even smoother.”
Osimhen expressed his happiness about his contribution to the team’s success so far.
“It made me very happy to be able to fit in immediately and help them the way I wanted.”
Galatasaray remains unbeaten in both the league and European competitions this season, but Osimhen emphasized the importance of staying focused.
“We continue undefeated in the league and Europe. As our manager said, we need to go step by step. Every match is very important to us,” he added.
The striker’s impressive form has reignited transfer speculation, with clubs like Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester United reportedly keeping a close eye on him.
Osimhen’s performances in Turkey continue to bolster his reputation as one of the most sought-after forwards in world football.
