Saudi club Al-Ittihad have completed the signing of Nigerian forward Francisca Ordega in the ongoing transfer window.
The 31-year-old attacker joins Al Ittihad from CSKA Moscow, Russia and is expected to play a huge role for the team. She joins on a two and a half years deal.
With her arrival in Saudi Arabia, Ordega will play alongside her compatriot, defender Ashley Plumptre, who has been playing for Al-Ittihad since last season.
Before moving to Saudi League, Ordega has had stints with several clubs across continents, most notably Washington Spirit in the United States, Sydney FC in Australia, Shanghai SIPG in China, Atletico Madrid and Levante in Spain, and CSKA Moscow.
Ordega has made four consecutive appearance at the Women’s World Cup. He was part of the squad that represented Nigeria at the 2011 edition in Germany, 2015 in Canada, 2019 in France, and 2023 in Australia and New Zealand.
Al-Ittihad is ranked seventh in the current season of the Saudi Women’s Premier League, with 15 point.
