Nigerian outfit Wikki Tourists turn to Evans Ogenyi as new technical adviser amid struggles

Wikki Tourists FC have officially confirmed the appointment of Evans Ogenyi as the club’s new technical adviser as they seek to revive their fortunes in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League season.

The brief signing ceremony was held at the club’s secretariat, where Coach Ogenyi formally put pen to paper on his contract in the presence of the club’s chairman, Salmanu Abubakar.

Ogenyi arrives at a crucial moment for the Bauchi-based side, who have endured a difficult spell in the league. The Bauchi Elephants have struggled for consistency in recent weeks, managing only two victories in their last 15 league matches.

That disappointing run has seen Wikki Tourists slide down the NPFL standings to 16th place with 32 points from 28 matches, leaving them dangerously close to the relegation zone as the season enters its decisive phase.

The club’s management will be hoping that Ogenyi’s experience and tactical direction can help stabilize the team and spark a turnaround in results. His immediate task will be to rebuild confidence within the squad and guide the team away from the bottom of the table.

With several matches still to play before the end of the campaign, Wikki Tourists will be counting on their new technical adviser to steady the ship and restore momentum as they fight to secure their place in the top flight of Nigerian football.
