Germany-born defender of Nigerian descent, Jordan Torunarigha, has completed his move to Hamburger SV.
The newly-promoted German Bundesliga club announced the signing of the centre-back in an official statement on Wednesday, June 11.
“Hamburger SV has secured the services of central defender Jordan Torunarigha. The 27-year-old from Berlin joins Hamburg on a free transfer from Belgian first division club KAA Gent.
“HSV has strengthened its squad with central defender Jordan Torunarigha from Belgian first division club KAA Gent. The Berlin native, who trained in the Hertha BSC youth system and later became a Bundesliga professional in the capital, completed his medical at the UKE Athleticum on Wednesday (June 11) and subsequently signed his contract at the Volksparkstadion,” Hamburger SV announced in their statement.
The defender made 145 competitive appearances for KAA Gent in the Belgian first division and on the international stage over the past three and a half years.
He has joined Hamburger SV with the experience of 73 Bundesliga matches for Hertha Berlin.
Hamburger SV are confident that he will provide a major squad boost for the 2025/26 football season.
