Nigeria winger Samuel Chukwueze ruled out of AC Milan clash against AS Roma due to injury

Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze has been ruled out of AC Milan’s crucial Serie A clash against AS Roma on Sunday.

The 25-year-old is currently carrying a groin injury, making him unavailable for the high-stake Serie A clash scheduled to take place at the Stadio Olimpico.

Chukwueze did not travel with the squad for the match as his injury requires delicate treatment.

Since Sergio Conceição took over at the Rossoneri, Chukwueze has found himself on the fringes of the squad.

Despite registering his first assist of the season against Bologna recently, he played only eight minutes in the next match. His limited role under the new manager suggests his absence may not drastically impact Milan’s plans.

The former Villarreal attacker has racked up 25 matches in the Serie A this season, scoring three goals and providing an assist.

In all competitions, he has scored five goals and delivered two assists from 35 appearances this season.
