Flying Eagles’ head coach, Isah Ladan Bosso, has officially revealed a pre-list featuring 30 selected players. This preliminary squad comprises 4 goalkeepers, 7 defenders, 8 midfielders, and 11 attackers, representing a comprehensive ensemble poised to represent Nigeria in this prestigious continental competition.

The Flying Eagles, the U-20 national team of Nigeria, are gearing up for the impending African Games with a diverse roster under the guidance of Coach Ladan Bosso.

With less than a month until the commencement of the tournament, the meticulous coach has entrusted this initial group of 30 players, with a subsequent announcement of the final squad expected after the preparatory phase concludes.

Among the notable selections are four players who previously featured under Bosso’s leadership during the 2022 U-20 World Cup in Argentina.

The quartet comprises Daniel Bameyi, Benjamin Frédérick, Nathaniel Nwuso, and Daniel Daga, each bringing valuable experience to the team.

Furthermore, the roster reflects a blend of emerging talents and seasoned players from the previous U-17 generation, exemplified by the inclusion of Charles Agada, Danjuma Lawali, and Emmanuel Mickaël.

Nigeria, having secured the silver medal in the previous edition, is determined to make a formidable impact in Group B, where they are joined by Uganda, South Sudan, Senegal, and Tunisia.

The unveiling of this preliminary squad adds an air of anticipation and excitement as Nigeria prepares to stake its claim in the upcoming African Games.
