Nigeria to open camp on March 24 for Four-Nation tournament in Jordan

The Nigeria national football team, popularly known as the Super Eagles, are set to officially open camp on 24 March as they prepare for the upcoming four-nation invitational tournament in Jordan.

The three-time African champions will face a competitive international window, taking on tournament hosts Jordan national football team and Iran national football team, as part of preparations for major qualifiers and to fine-tune their squad ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Super Eagles’ campaign will kick off against Iran in the tournament opener on Friday, 27 March, at the 17,000-capacity Amman International Stadium. The clash promises to test Nigeria’s tactical depth and readiness against a disciplined Asian side.

The tournament presents an opportunity for head coach Jose Peseiro to experiment with his squad, integrate emerging talents, and assess the team’s cohesion under competitive conditions. With two high-quality opponents in the group, the Super Eagles will aim to showcase their trademark attacking prowess while solidifying defensive stability.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) have expressed optimism about the squad’s prospects, emphasizing the importance of the tournament as a platform to sharpen strategies, boost morale, and maintain the Super Eagles’ status as a dominant force in African and international football.

As the countdown to camp begins, all eyes will be on the Nigerian squad to see how they balance youth, experience, and tactical flexibility ahead of the key international fixtures in Jordan.
