Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has rejected a fifth proposal from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, signalling his firm intention to continue playing in Europe amid ongoing transfer speculation.
The 26-year-old Super Eagles striker remains one of the most sought-after forwards in the game.
According to Nigerian journalist Buchi Laba, Osimhen has categorically ruled out any move to the Saudi Pro League, despite Al-Hilal’s persistent interest and reportedly lucrative offers.
“Victor Osimhen officially rejects Al Hilal 5th offer,” Laba posted on X, formerly Twitter. “He has decided to not move there no matter the money offered. Case closed.”
Osimhen’s resolve underlines his focus on remaining within Europe’s elite football circles, where he continues to attract attention from top clubs.
Laba further noted that the Super Eagles striker prioritises staying in Europe, adding that a leading Serie A club is closely monitoring his situation, alongside interest from other major European teams.
Despite the speculation, Osimhen is not expected to rush a decision. Sources close to the player suggest that he is carefully weighing up his next move, with an emphasis on joining a club offering a strong competitive project and ambition at the highest level.
The Napoli forward made headlines after leading the Italian side to the 2022/23 Serie A title, breaking a 33-year league drought.
He also impressed during a loan stint at Galatasaray last season, helping the Turkish giants to a domestic league and cup double.
While the door to Saudi Arabia appears firmly closed for now, Osimhen’s next destination remains a key talking point as Europe’s summer transfer window intensifies.
Clubs in the Premier League and Serie A are reportedly keen, but the Nigerian star seems content to wait for the right sporting challenge.
