Nigeria international Ademola Lookman has urged his Atalanta teammate to stay focus ahead of their game against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
The Serie A outfit has managed three wins and 2 draws in their first five games, accumulating 11 points. They are yet to taste defeat and are four points behind leaders Liverpool.
Real Madrid, on the other side, has no choice but to win, if they stay in the competition. They are currently 24th with just six points after five matches.
Speaking ahead of the game, Lookman, who has been in fine form said, “Tomorrow’s match will be very difficult. But we are focusing on ourselves, and on how to harm the opponent. We have another challenge ahead of us.”
“What happened in the past remains in the past. Tomorrow’s match is completely different, and it is an opportunity for us to show the capabilities and quality of the team, which was achieved in the previous rounds.”
Lookman then heaped praise on Real Madrid star Vinicius Jnr, describing him as a top-class player.
“He is a top-class player, and he plays in an amazing way. We have to deal with him very carefully.”
“Real Madrid has top-class players, capable of making a difference and deciding matches, and not Vinicius alone, the team has great quality. We have to do our best.”
