Nigeria international Ademola Lookman has downplayed pressure ahead of their crucial 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
The three-time Africa Cup of Nations champions takes Rwanda on Friday, March 21 before hosting Zimbabwe on March 25 in a must-win clash.
Currently sitting fifth in Group C, Nigeria trails Rwanda, South Africa, Benin Republic, and Lesotho.
The Super Eagles has only managed draws against Lesotho, Zimbabwe, and South Africa before suffering a disappointing 2-1 loss to Benin.
With only the top team earning automatic qualification, Nigeria must deliver results quickly to revive qualification hopes.
Ahead of the two crucial games, Lookman, who plies his trade for Atalanta insists his outfit is not under pressure to deliver.
“No pressure at all. I’m just really happy to be back with the squad and the guys. We’ve got a big challenge ahead, and we’re all excited to take it on.” He said.
Nigeria arrived in Kigali on Monday for their game against Rwanda this Friday.
