In 2012, Sani Kaita found his career at a standstill following his departure from Nicosia. In a decisive move, he opted to return to Nigeria, where he joined the prestigious Enyimba club.
For the midfielder, this decision was primarily driven by sporting considerations. “I chose Enyimba to enhance my focus. Although other clubs were interested, I selected Enyimba because it stands as Nigeria’s premier club. With two Champions League titles under its belt, Enyimba’s achievements surpass any other team in Nigeria. Hence, it was the ideal destination for me,” he revealed. “My presence here is solely for football, not financial gain.”
