Nigeria midfielder, Joe Aribo is backing new Super Eagles head coach Eric Sekou Chelle to succeed.
He has urged players invited into the Super Eagles squad for the March international break to believe in the new coach and buy into how he wants the team to play.
“It’s a good feeling, we believe in what he wants from us, what he wants to implement in the game, we just have to believe in what he says to us on the pitch and take it through into the games,” Aribo said in an interview after returning to the Nigeria squad.
He continued, “We are working hard, we have to work fast with the manager because it’s only a certain amount of training sessions that we are going to have before the game. We have to listen to what he says, take in his points, and implement it during the game.”
Nigeria will play Rwanda and Zimbabwe in the March international break in crucial games in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
