Nigeria football legend Finidi George has urged his compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho to depart Spanish club FC Sevilla.
The 28-year-old joined Sevilla in July 2024, signing a two-year contract with the club after ending his spell with Premier League outfit Leicester City.
Iheanacho has struggled since joining Sevilla, marking only 11 appearances and scoring three goals across the period.
George, who is a former player of Real Betis is unhappy with the treatment meted out to his countryman at Sevilla and has therefore urged him to leave the club
“Kelechi has been disrespected in many ways,” Finidi said in an interview with Africa Foot.
“They had high expectations of him when he arrived, but it hasn’t been long and they haven’t given him enough time to adapt.
“He should leave Sevilla if good offers come his way.”
