Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho is reportedly close to joining Championship club, Middlesbrough.
The 28-year-old joined Sevilla in July 2024, signing a two-year contract with the club after ending his spell with Premier League outfit Leicester City.
Iheanacho has struggled since joining the club, marking only 11 appearances and scoring three goals across competitions.
Reports emanating from Spain suggest the 28-year-old has turned down offers from Italy and Greece as he favors England return.
The former Leicester City star has agreed to negotiate with Middlesbrough and is said to be close to joining the club on loan from Sevilla.
Africasoccer.com has learnt agreement is almost certain, however, the English outfit will have to include a mandatory purchase clause worth two million euros to finalize a move.
It is noteworthy that Iheanacho had two previous experiences in English stadiums with Manchester City and Leicester
