Crystal Palace are set to engage Stade Rennais in a fierce battle to sign Nigeria international Bright Osayi-Samuel in the upcoming transfer window.

Osayi-Samuel, who joined Fenerbahce in January 2021 will be out of contract next month, sparking speculations about his future at the end club.

With his contract expiring in June and no sign con extension, the 26-year-old Nigeria defender will likely depart the club for a new challenge.

According to reports, the 26-year-old is attracting huge interest from Palace, who plies their trade in England and Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais.

While Rennais sees the Nigerian as a replacement for Lorenz Assignon, who is set to join Stuttgart, Crystal Palace lead the English suitors, though other Championship and Premier League clubs are also tracking the situation.

Osayi-Samuel, who cost under €500,000 to join Fenerbahçe in 2021 from Queens Park Rangers, has made 176 appearances, recording seven goals and eight assists across all competitions.

His dynamic style, versatility, and attacking thrust from full-back have made him a standout in Turkey.

This season, he played 37 matches and delivered eight assists, underlining his importance in both defense and transition.
